The Atlantic – March 13, 2020 – “The Trump Presidency Is Over” by Peter Wehner

Attention: Editor

Wehner makes it clear that he did not and would not vote for Donald Trump. He writes that “Trump is fundamentally unfit – intellectually, morally, temperamentally, and psychologically - for office.”

The real irony regarding his vote decision, however, is that Wehner doesn’t seem to appreciate that each character trait that he attributes to Trump applies to Hillary Clinton, even more so. It is Hillary, more so than Trump, who is the one who has the massive character defect and is an habitual liar. (She clearly lied about Benghazi and about her husband’s sexual escapades... among other issues.)

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama were directly responsible for the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi, Libya, including the American ambassador, Christopher Stevens. Apart from Clinton’s countless other violations of law for which she has yet to be charged, the event in Benghazi was truly appalling... far worse than Watergate. No lives were lost in Watergate.

Contrary to Werner’s assertion, rather than Trump, the prospect of Hillary Clinton “as commander in chief should send a chill down the spine of every American.”

Wehner writes that “any narrative that attempts to pin all of the blame on Trump for the coronavirus is simply unfair”... which is correct... but then he goes on to blame Trump for most of it.

Concerning coronavirus, Wehner conveys the impression that he expects President Trump and the White House to be without fault. The government, the system, and the President cannot solve everything. If there are shortfalls in the present system regarding coronavirus then one can be sure that some of the deficient policies began long before Trump ever came to office.

Wehner, admittedly, has a longstanding prejudice against the President which Is clearly reflected in his writing. What does Wehner expect to accomplish through his derisive comments? President Trump is just like the rest of us... far from perfect.

To assist in unifying the nation, Wehner might want to consider writing about some of the very good things that Trump has accomplished... because there are many. (Refer to separate document: Trump, Obama, Biden, Clinton…)

Yours truly
