The Lincoln Project website indicates that all Americans should have a shared fidelity to the Constitution, to which most people would agree. Your organization is anti-Trump and yet your site doesn’t seem to mention any instance wherein Trump has run contrary to the Constitution.
When you so unnecessarily denigrate Trump, you
essentially mock half the people in the nation, those who voted for him.
Regardless of any or all of Trump’s flaws or
failings, or any or all of his policies, or any of the same for Biden, in
evaluating these two candidates each and every usual criterion is really quite
trivial when compared to the advocacy of allowing the killing of unborn babies as
is the case with V.P. Biden. If one genuinely cares about the nation in the
long term, all other values ultimately have very little relevance. How is it
that unborn lives have no place of any importance in your plan?
Virtually each one of the Democratic politicians argue vehemently, most often with much anger and vitriol, for the reproductive rights of women. What the Democrats and your organization choose to ignore is that reproductive rights more correctly end at the moment of conception. No nation on earth will survive intact the sanctioning of killing its unborn children. This truth alone should be sufficient to effect one’s decision for this election and any other.
In 2012, the Democratic Party removed any reference to “God” in its policy platform… but God will not be mocked. Ultimately, attempts to mock God will be at the peril of the nation. Why are you choosing to seek to promote a godless nation?
As former Republicans you can support V.P. Biden even though there are many evidences (which you seem to ignore) which reflect his lack of forthrightness, lack of honesty, his changing and contradictory policies, his lack of integrity, his lack of a proper response to sexual assault accusations, and lack of any legitimate response to the information pertaining to family financial payments which presently seem difficult to reconcile with the law and honourable conduct.
Your organization is able to find countless Trump flaws and yet, for some reason, you are so readily able to overlook Biden’s equally significant character and policy flaws. Trump’s character may be in need of improvement but he doesn’t claim to be a Christian whereas Biden purports to be a Catholic and yet his character is inconsistent with the most basic tenets of Catholicism.
In 47 years in politics, including 8 years as V.P. what has Biden accomplished? Not much other than his 1994 Biden Crime Law which he concedes was a disaster… resulting in the incarceration of more blacks. Biden has no executive experience that is so necessary to lead a nation.
Robert Gates, U.S. Secretary of Defense, and fellow Democrat, stated and wrote that Biden has “been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.” This is a blatant indicator of Biden’s inability to provide critical national leadership.
During the Democrat Primaries, Biden confirmed his support for comprehensive health coverage to undocumented immigrants. How is that not an absurd position? (If one examines Biden’s own charitable contributions through the years, there is no record of any of his own personal financial contribution to reflect such a position.)
The Democrats have demonstrated that they do very little to support or honour true democracy. Instead, they have chosen, since Trump’s inauguration, to work tirelessly to remove a duly elected President from office. This, in itself, is shameful and effectively mocks those who did vote for Trump.
Biden stated that Antifa is just an ideology. This is ludicrous. Antifa is a left-wing political action movement which advocates violent action to accomplish its objectives.
The Democrats have demonstrated 33 years of vindictiveness and disdain for each and every Republican Supreme Court justice nominee… including recently. This is not right and serves no constructive purpose for the nation.
How is it that as Republicans you are able to suddenly desert free market, conservative fundamentals… most especially with the most conservative President in recent history?
How do you consider Trump as a poor candidate and yet then choose to support an even poorer one? The only thing we know for sure is that President Trump is just like you and me, far from perfect. If your forum happens to be successful, the U.S. will end up with a President who they deserve instead of the President that the nation desperately needs.
Instead of denigrating Trump and his supporters, why don’t you stand with half the voters, all other Republicans, and support who they have chosen to support instead of effectively denigrating them? If you are genuine Republicans why haven’t you chosen to work vigorously to have one of your own kind elected instead of doing what you are now doing?
I welcome your acknowledgement, response, or correction of any errors or misunderstandings.
Thank you.
Yours truly
Randall F. More, P. Eng.
